Rising Youth NM is an empowering organizing program dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders. Our mission is to actively engage and organize young individuals, aged 15-24, ensuring their meaningful participation in various community spaces where their voices and perspectives may have been historically overlooked.

With a purposeful focus on inclusivity, we strive to bridge gaps and provide opportunities for young people to thrive in areas traditionally inaccessible to them. By fostering their active involvement, we aim to instill a sense of ownership, agency, and community impact, ultimately shaping a brighter future for all.

Through our program, we equip young individuals with the necessary tools, skills, and resources to navigate and contribute to diverse community settings. By fostering leadership opportunities, promoting collaboration, and nurturing their unique talents, Rising Youth NM enables these promising young minds to unleash their full potential.

Our approach is rooted in building meaningful connections and partnerships. By fostering a supportive network of guidance and mentorship, we create a nurturing environment where young individuals can flourish, take up space, and develop their leadership capabilities.

Rising Youth NM is more than just a program; it is a transformative journey for young people to become catalysts for positive change. By amplifying their voices, providing opportunities for growth, such as learning the concepts of broad-based community organizing, and encouraging active community participation, we strive to build a future where young leaders are integral in shaping inclusive and thriving communities for generations to come.

As of June 15 2023, NM CAFe officially launched the program (in collaboration with Faith in Action) and has 10 youth leaders committed to this program for the 2023 – 2024 year.
